- I just recently purchased a pair of A2060 Arcnet cards for my two A2000's.
- The manual that came with it is quite lame and it gives you very little
- information on how to set things up, and troubleshoot.
-
- Problems:
-
- - I tried running AmiTCP 4.1, and doing an IFCONFIG a2060 205.206.3.x, and
- then pinged each other's machine, and for some reson I'm getting a
- consistent 85% packet loss. I tried changing the cabling, and I still get
- the exact same result.
-
- - I tried the ch2060_37.23 by Carsten Heyl (from the AmiNet) with Envoy,
- and Envoy sees the other node, except when you try to connect to it to get
- all the directories you can connect to, it says "unable to connect to
- host"?? Dosen't make sense!! I can see the activity light flash 6 times
- consistently, but nothing happens.
-
- - Today I went to someone's house who has 3 machines arcnetted together
- with 2060's, tried the trick with AmiTCP, as above, and all of a sudden
- transfer rates just DIED with Envoy.
-
- Man the 2060's are a real stable network card!!!
-
- Any suggestions or tips about the above problems or general/technical info
- on ArcNet networks would be GREATLY appreciated!
